What Is This Image Resizer?

This is a free, browser-based image resizing tool that lets you change the dimensions of any image in seconds — without installing software, creating an account, or uploading your files to a server. Everything runs privately inside your own browser using the HTML5 Canvas API.

Whether you need to resize a single photo or process a batch of images all at once, this tool has you covered. You can resize by exact pixel dimensions, scale by a percentage, or instantly match popular social media formats like Instagram, YouTube, or Facebook.

How to Resize an Image — Step by Step

  1. 1

    Upload your image

Click the Upload button or drag and drop your image directly onto the canvas. Supports JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, and BMP up to 10 MB.

  2. 2

    Choose your resize method

Pick "By Size" to enter exact pixel dimensions, "As Percentage" to scale up or down by a percentage, or "Social Media" to instantly match platform-specific sizes.

  3. 3

    Set your output format

Under Export Settings, choose whether to keep the original format or convert to JPG, PNG, or WebP.

  4. 4

    Export and download

Click Export Image. Your resized image is ready to download instantly — no waiting, no processing queue.

What makes this different?

Most online resizers send your files to their server. This one doesn't.

Free, forever

No plans, no trial period, no "export limit reached" message. Just open it and use it.

Your files stay on your device

Resizing happens in the browser using Canvas. Nothing is sent to a server — not even in the background.

Resize 50 images in one go

Switch to Bulk mode, drop all your files, set the size once, and download a ZIP. Saves a lot of time.

Built-in social media sizes

Tired of googling "Instagram image size"? All the common ones are already in the Social tab.

Change format while resizing

Got a PNG but need a JPG? Or want WebP for faster web loading? Pick the format before you export.

No install, no extension

It runs in your browser — Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge. Desktop or phone. Nothing to download.

Standard Social Media Image Sizes

Every platform has its own recommended image dimensions. Using the wrong size can result in cropping, blurry images, or poor engagement. Here are the most commonly used sizes:

InstagramFeed Post (Square)1080 × 1080

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this image resizer completely free?

Yes — 100% free. No account, no subscription, no watermark on your image, and no limit on how many times you use it.

Does it upload my images to a server?

No. Your images are never sent anywhere. All resizing happens locally inside your browser using the HTML5 Canvas API, so your files stay completely private on your device.

What image formats does it support?

You can upload JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, and BMP. For the output, you can keep the original format or convert to JPG, PNG, or WebP.

Can I resize multiple images at once?

Yes. Switch to Bulk Resize mode using the toggle in the header. Upload as many images as you need, set your target size once, hit Resize All, and download everything as a single ZIP file.

Will my image lose quality when I resize it?

Downscaling (making images smaller) has very little visible quality loss. Upscaling (making images larger) may cause some softness or blurriness — this is a natural limitation of pixel-based resizing, not specific to this tool.

Can I lock the aspect ratio while resizing?

Yes. The "Lock Aspect Ratio" option is on by default in By Size mode. When locked, changing the width automatically updates the height to keep the proportions correct, and vice versa.

Does it work on mobile?

Yes. The tool runs in any modern browser including Safari, Chrome, and Firefox on phones and tablets. For bulk resizing, a desktop browser is recommended for the best experience.
